Hit the King Salmon north rocks at 11:30 and they were gettin pounded by waves so I moved to the south rocks. The south rocks are normally calmer but there is a fast current. I was fishin for a little bit before my mom called on my cell phone. I was talkin to her for a minute lettin my lure dangle in the water above the rocks. While I was not payin attention my Senko gets slammed. I said to my mom "oh shoot, I got a fish on", she laughed and said "ok, I'll let you go". It was a little 11 1/2 inch Grass Rockfish. It was hooked deep and when I got the hook out it was bleeding bad. I normally wont keep them unless they are 12" but this one was gunna die and I wasn't giong to let it go to waste. I kept fishin for a little, then I started regretting that I forgot to bring food. Gettin some food in my belly started to be all I could think about so I left a little after 1. I'm thinkin about goin back out tonight.
