I should've hit the rocks earlier, but sometimes I'm lazy. I finally got out to the north rocks at 2:15ish. It had been sunny all day, but when I got out there it was gettin a little overcasty. The tide was low and still goin, but nice and calm. I started at the tip, like usual. Pitchin my 5" Offshore Angler XPS Salt water Twintail Shad, green/chart. tail, I started workin the rocks. I also brought my ultra light spinnin rod w/ 4lb line and a drop shot rigged 3" Berkley Bass Minnow. I didn't get a hit until about 3:30, quite aways off the tip. The tide was gettin really low and small swells started poundin the rocks and stirring up the sand. I felt a small tug and got hugely excited. I dropped it in the same hole again for another missed tug. A third drop went untouched. When a sequence like this happens I work the holes immediately next to it. This is because the fish has become annoyed and move. The next hole was basically the same sequence. The next hole started the same, but I was able to bring up a small Black Rocky this time. Unfortunately it jumped off the hook at the surface of the water. I kept workin down with no more hits until a little after 4:30 when I called it.
