Hit the north rocks again at high noon. It was beautiful, all sun, no wind, calm water. Started pitchin my chartreuse worm right over the rocks and workin it back makin sure I feel it sinkin into the holes and cracks trying to find that fish that is takin cover from the sun. I normally wouldn't work a bright lure like chartreuse on such a sunny day, but after hookin into that Harbor Seal on one, I found a new confidence in them. I have thrown plenty of lures around Seals and Sea Lions and never had one hit until workin some chartreuse around one. It must obviously look a lot like a small bait fish. Today I also took my 5'6" dippin stick with a 3/4oz finesse style slider sinker, red bead and BPS Cajun Crab. It was low tide and there were a lot of exposed holes to work. At 1:15pm I got a slammin hit on the worm right at the tip that didn't set. I kept workin the area for a couple more hits, but couldn't bring it up. It was the same slowness after that until 3:45 when I left. I thought that maybe since it has been such nice weather for a couple of days the fish might be more active at night, so I planned to come back after the sun went down. My kid went to bed at 9, but the moon wasn't high enough so I waited till 11. It was a beautiful night, clear sky, bright moon, slight breeze but not very cold. I went to the tip hoping that I could provoke that same fish from earlier but it didn't happen. I could see some fog across the bay and knew it would be here sometime soon. It rolled in right before midnight and it brought the cold. It got real thick and I split 10 minutes after 12am, skunked
